“From the minute I first became involved with BIBA as a hair model, I just knew I wanted to be around the Hair Academy’s people and the sense of excitement that came with the whole vibe of the place. Hair modelling took me all around the world, but for me, now, my passion project is all about supporting the students of BIBA.”

Seven years on, Alex is still a hair model from time to time, but her main role is being our Administration Go-To Girl. Our students can call on Alex for help and advice about their training, their schedule, their tech issues and anything else they need. She’s always there to provide encouragement, a friendly face and to answer questions as they arise.
“I love the broad spectrum of student types we attract. They come from all backgrounds, all age groups and different countries – and they all start out nervous. I love watching their confidence grow as they become more skilled and the best part is using our considerable network of connections and BIBA Hairdressing Salons to help them find a job. BIBA is renowned for being THE place where great hairdressers come from. Our graduates are so employable because they’re salon ready. They’ve been properly trained to do the hair thing, deal with real people in a salon situation and they’ve had enormous opportunities for hands-on learning – not just on mannequins and wigs.”

Alex handles enrolments, information enquiries, job placements and multiple other things that are too numerous to mention. For her, everyday provides surprises and she’s always kept on her toes. She has the biggest heart, a front row seat when it comes to interacting with all of our students and she gets an enormous kick out of seeing everyone around her succeed, grow and prosper.
