BIBA ACADEMY RTO APPRENTICE AWARD
MODEL REGISTRATION: 10:00 AM

- 2nd prize: $750 cash plus a Colortrak prize pack
- 3rd prize: $250 cash plus a K18 prize pack

The entrant must currently be employed full-time as a hairdressing apprentice and attend BIBA Academy to complete their off-the-job training.
The entrant must produce one pre-done look of a cut, colour or a session styling look… Anything goes.
You may enter more than one model into this category but you may not enter the same model into more than one category.
This category is designed to showcase your strengths and interests in hair, fashion and design. The focus is on producing a complete overall vision “head to toe” that demonstrates to the judges:

Please note that the models will be sitting and walking during judging period.
The use of full wigs is not permitted but wefts may be used to enhance the overall vision. At least 50% of the model’s real hair must be used in the look.
The entrant and their model/s may be photographed during the competition period for BIBA publicity.
Salon owners will be contacted to confirm entry eligibility.
The same entrant cannot win the top prize consecutively more than two times.
The judges’ decision is final.
BIBA ACADEMY FULL-TIME STUDENT AWARD

The entrant must be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at BIBA Academy at the time of judging in the Certificate III in Hairdressing or the Certificate III in Barbering.
The entrant must produce one pre-done look of a cut, colour or a session styling look… Anything goes.
You may enter more than one model into this category but you may not enter the same model into more than one category.
This category is designed to showcase your strengths and interests in hair, fashion and design. The focus is on producing a complete, overall vision “head to toe” that demonstrates to the judges:

The entrant must be currently employed at BIBA Salons or another salon that has sent staff members to BIBA Academy for training of any kind at time of judging.
BIBA Academy educators are not permitted to enter.
This is an open category. Both juniors and seniors can enter.
The entrant must produce one pre-done look that showcases their cutting ability. Entrants are strongly encouraged to ensure their model has a complementary colour to complete the vision.
You may enter more than one model into this category but you may not enter the same model into more than one category.
This category is designed to showcase your strengths and interests in cutting, finishing and shaping/crafting hair. The focus is on producing a complete overall vision “head to toe” that demonstrates to the judges:

This is an open category. Both juniors and seniors can enter.
The entrant must produce one pre-done barbering look.
You may enter more than one model into this category but you may not enter the same model into more than one category.
This category is designed to showcase your strengths and interests in barbering and grooming. The focus is on producing a complete overall vision “head to toe” that demonstrates to the judges:
