The BIBA Next Level Competition was, once again, an amazing day (and night!) for all involved. For the second year of the competition, we expanded the field to include entries from Wella salons outside the Biba Group. This led to a record 120 entries into our five distinct award categories: Apprentice, Full-time Student, Styling, Master Colour and Barbering. It was a real thrill to have participants from our Wella family (like Rokk Ebony superstar Sanja Scher) competing alongside the BIBA Salons and Academy crew. For the first time, we also expanded the judging panel to include representation from the fashion and beauty worlds, too. Our director, Pavlos Divitaris, wanted to throw down the challenge to competitors: create something beautiful and technical that will appeal to professionals from our industry and beyond. That challenge was accepted and met by our talented entrants.
BIBA Next Level Competition wrap-up
Thank you to all our competitors and their models for their tireless work and dedication to the event. The standard of work was just phenomenal. A special thank you to Jamie Furlan (Xiang), Shakira Petrucci (Zucci), Adam Isles (Rokk Ebony), Cedric Kadile (of The Social Studio and founder of Krack Lae) and Celia Cecchi (founder of I Scream Nails) for judging. Thanks also to Wella Professionals for their sponsorship and support with the competition.
